What? Another Vacation?

Its true! We are traveling fools this summer. Good thing we bought a fancy new car to take us places :)
Friday, after Lexa's swim lessons and art camp, the girls, Richard and I headed to Utah. Richard was going to meet Marilyn there to see Sherisa's dance performance. We drove like crazy people and got to Salt Lake around midnight. Our wonderful friends the Murdocks opened their house to me and the girls to spend the night. Its like we were a part of the family. We walked right in, set up our stuff and went to sleep, not even seeing them until morning. We finally got to meet cutie pie Davis! The girls had a blast playing in their backyard with the sandbox. Imagine that, my kids and dirt.
We took off about 11 and headed for our final destination, Colorado. We had a very smooth and uneventful trip thru Wyoming. We stopped at Little America for ice cream and playing on the playground there.
Sunday I got to go to my ward I grew up in. The lesson we had in Relief Society was absolutely amazing. That afternoon though, the swamp cooler in my parents house blew out. It was about 100 degrees and crazy humid because of all the rain they are getting recently. The girls and I just laid on the bed looking at each other wondering what was happening! We even took Uncle Bob for a LONG test drive of our new car so that we could all sit in air conditioning for a little while. We had pizza with GG that night.
Yesterday I got to see my most wonderful neighbor, Jen Nethery. Her girls are getting so grown up, and they look like Malia is a clone of Michaela. We also saw some friends from church at the park so Lexa went and played with them until lunch. We had lunch at our favorite restaurant, Sonnys Country Cafe. Lexa was pretty sad about seeing all our old places, but I'm sure she will get over it. Looks like our renters are having a hard time with the lawn and tree, meaning they are both dead, but also think they are trying to fix it as well. Stopped by more friends, went and saw a swamp cooler from Craigslist. Jen came with me because we agreed it wasnt too safe to go alone. Good thing she did. There were 3 very weird guys that came out to help us! We went back to Jen and Richies and ate pizza. Then headed home.
We came home to a swamp cooler being installed and had a nice cool nights rest.
We have many many things planned for the next couple weeks. The days keep getting filled with fun stuff to do. Today we will go see Winnie the Pooh the movie.
